Connect a printer
PaperReady prints to whatever printers your operating system already knows about. You don't install brand drivers through us — if the OS sees the printer, so do we.
USB printers
Plug the printer in and let your OS install it (most label printers install automatically). It then appears in the app. On Linux, printers are managed through CUPS.
Network printers
Add the printer to your network / add it in your OS's printer settings (e.g. a Zebra with an Ethernet or Wi-Fi module, or a Brother QL-820NWB). Once the OS lists it, it shows up in PaperReady.
The "connect to local devices" prompt
Because the web app reaches the Bridge on your own machine, the browser asks permission the first time. Choose Allow. In Chrome 142+ this is the Local Network Access permission; if you dismissed it, click the site-info icon in the address bar and allow local network access, then reload.
