How to Print Amazon Shipping Labels (Buy Shipping)

When you buy a label through Amazon Seller Central (Buy Shipping), you get a 4x6 shipping-label PDF, and printing it from a browser tends to fit it onto letter paper and shrink the barcode. PaperReady prints the Amazon label at its real 4x6 size, edge to edge, on any thermal printer. Looking for the FNSKU item labels instead? See below.

  1. In Seller Central, open the order and choose Buy Shipping, then print the 4x6 shipping label PDF.
  2. Install the free PaperReady Print Bridge; your Zebra, DYMO, Rollo, Brother or MUNBYN is detected as a 4x6 printer.
  3. Drop the label PDF into PaperReady and print at true size, so the 4x6 fills the stock and the carrier barcode scans.
  4. Selling on Shopify too? Connect the store so each new order auto-prints a label on your bench.

Shipping labels vs FNSKU item labels

Amazon has two different labels. The shipping label (Buy Shipping) is the 4x6 postage label for the box. The FNSKU label goes on each individual FBA unit. For those, see printing FNSKU labels for Amazon FBA.

PaperReady prints straight to your label printer at true size, with no PDF-export-then-reprint step, unlimited labels, and no per-label fees, on Zebra, DYMO, Rollo, Brother and MUNBYN across Windows, Mac and Linux.

Frequently asked

What size is an Amazon shipping label?
Amazon Buy Shipping labels print at 4x6 inches. PaperReady prints at that real size instead of scaling onto letter paper.
Do I need a thermal printer?
No, but it's the cleanest option. Any label printer your computer sees works, and you can also print the 4x6 on plain paper and tape it on.
How is this different from FNSKU labels?
The shipping label is the postage label for the box; FNSKU labels go on individual FBA units. See the FNSKU guide for those.
Is it free?
Yes. Printing is free and unlimited on one computer; you pay Amazon only for the postage.
