Rollo Label Printer Software (Free)

Rollo makes a genuinely great 4×6 thermal printer and then hands you the weakest part of the package: the software. PaperReady is the part Rollo left out.

The classic Rollo (X1038) installs as a generic label printer and expects you to print from a browser or PDF viewer, which is exactly where a 4×6 label gets "fit to page," shrunk into the corner of a letter sheet with the barcode too small to scan. The newer Rollo Wireless leans on the Rollo Ship app and an account. Either way you're wrangling scaling settings instead of just printing.

PaperReady detects your Rollo the moment it's connected and prints straight to it at its real 4×6 size: no letter-page scaling, no print dialog, no Rollo account required. Drop in the label from Etsy, eBay, Shopify, or a carrier PDF and it comes out edge to edge, every time.

Works with: Rollo X1038 (USB) · Rollo Wireless / Rollo Ship. If your OS can see it, PaperReady can print to it: brand-agnostic, no per-label fee.

Print to your Rollo in four steps

  1. Connect your Rollo over USB (X1038) or add the Rollo Wireless to your network, and let your OS install it, with no Rollo driver hunt needed.
  2. Install the free PaperReady Print Bridge for Windows, macOS, or Linux.
  3. Open the app; your Rollo is auto-detected and flagged as a 4×6 label printer.
  4. Load your shipping label and print at true size. The 4×6 fills the label, barcode sharp.
Free and unlimited for one computer. Works on Windows, macOS and Linux.

Frequently asked

Does PaperReady work with the wireless Rollo, not just the X1038?
Yes. If your OS can see the printer (the USB X1038 or the networked Rollo Wireless), PaperReady prints to it. You don't need the Rollo Ship app or a Rollo account.
Why does my Rollo print the label tiny in the corner of a big page?
That's the browser/PDF viewer scaling the 4×6 to fit letter paper. PaperReady sends the job to the Rollo at its real size instead of fitting it, so the label fills the stock and the barcode scans.
Do I still need Rollo's own software?
No. PaperReady replaces the print step end to end. Keep Rollo's app only if you use one of its account features; for printing labels you don't need it.
